The Sum function – calculating the total of numbers

Calculating the sum of numbers is achieved by going through the following steps:

1. Select the destination cell by clicking it (the cell in which you want the summation result to appear).

2. Click the “Sigma” button (located at the right end of the ribbon).

3. Select the range of cells that contain the numbers.

4. Hit the “Enter” key on the keyboard.

The total will now appear in the cell you selected on step 1.
